Jem Frazer (Olly) and Graeme Hardy ( Stanley, yes it is his real name ) were both ardent Laurel and Hardy fans, and they independently set up an act as a tribute to them.
They decided to join forces after stumbling over each other while rummaging around the second hand shops in Brighton looking for bowler hats. It sounds like a Hollywood story but it is absolutely true. They have been together now for over 5 years and have established themselves as the top Laurel and Hardy look a likes in the world.
Interaction is paramount and their phenomenal portrayal of these screen icons has been achieved from working all kinds of venues, from outdoor events, theatres & holiday camps.
In 1995 Jem worked alongside MEATLOAF at the Royal Albert Hall, with Prince Charles in attendance. TV appearances include The Harry Enfield Show with Spike Milligan and in September 2001 he had a principle part in a film directed by Andrew Kotting called This Filthy Earth which will be shown in Cannes this year.
Graeme, also in the business for 12 years, has worked at many corporate events all over the UK, including the MTV awards in London and TV appearances, which include, Peak Practice and in a pop video for a group called Bad Company, which reached the number 1 spot in America.
As Haurel and Lardy, the boys have worked many top venues in London, including the Hilton Hotel, The Café Royal, The Natural History Museum, Brooklands Race Circuit, The Hard Rock Café, Planet Hollywood and an unparalleled five years of corporate entertainment at Pinewood Studios.
March 2000 they worked in Italy on a film called The Face of Picasso as Laurel and Hardy and it was a great success. 2002 saw them filming adverts for the Financial Times, aired on primetime UK national TV and also filming a promotional movie for JETCAM, a software company in addition to hosting their stand at the Euroblech Trade Fair in Hannover, Germany in October 2002.
The jewel in their crown is their original 1924 Model T Ford, which they had shipped over from America as used by Laurel and Hardy in many of their films.
Their faithful reproduction of Laurel and Hardy vignettes incorporating a diverse array of props including dustbins, ladders, packing cases and a piano, has secured them bookings in Madame Tussauds, The Venice Simplon Orient Express and Monte Carlo in the south of France.
They are honoured to be appearing in The Good Old Days on the City Varieties stage where so many greats have performed
