I was born in Burnley in 1974 where I later studied Art and Design at the college before moving to Stockport to study H.N.D Illustration for two years followed by a further two year top up course at Loughborough University which gave me a BA in Illustration. Since then I have continue painting mainly on a large scale in my favoured medium, watercolour. I paint a wide range of subjects like the nudes you see here to wildlife and horticulture. Watercolour is the perfect medium for me because the way watercolours work is almost organic and the strength of colour you get from them can be pure and fresh.
My work as been shown at the Mall Galleries in London on number of occasions where I won first prize in the Winsor and Newton Young Artist 2000 Award.
